How to improve and control color shade variation in Chinese fabric inspection?

To avoid any misunderstanding, I clarify the correct concept and terms first as following:

When we talk about color shade variation, we should have correct ideas. Color shade variation exists ever and forever, it is impossible to disappear. We just talk about how to control it to a limit and acceptable for clients. There is not two color exactly the same, just as there is no 2 leaves exactly the same. Concerning color shade variation, there are 3 reasons to cause it, or we name 3 kinds of color shade variations:

  1. As fabric materials comes in roll to roll, even in the same roll, color varies one end to the other end, one edge to the other edge. When cutting such roll, Color shade variation occurs on panels to panels, This is a fabric problem.
  2. In the same batch, color shade variation occurs roll to roll, I call this roll shade variation.
  3. From batch to batch, there is color shade variation, I call this batch shade variations.

The truth is, from 1 to 3, the color shade variation is from easy to hard to control. So you will understand why there is always color difference from order to order, is always more obvious than from piece to piece in the orders.

Then how to control it in Chinese fabric inspection?

But that is not the excuse to have color shade variation, what we do should be, how to control the color shade variation to a limit, or to the acceptable tolerance. Every party involves the business is trying to do this. therefore it becomes more complex, and cost more time to approve it.
We should bear in mind during Chinese fabric inspection. Color always changes after each of function finish such as, water resistance finish, PVC coating finish, even the pure fabric is dyeing perfectly. We do not know what direction it will change to, to change to yellowish, or to change to reddish? Only the dyeing and finish factory knows because they can try and do experiment.
