How a dishonest factory cheats the inspector designated by the buyer in a Final Random Inspection in China?
Regarding Final Random Inspection in China, I must say that now fewer and fewer factories play games with inspectors during inspections. But there are always some in China,who are not honest enough, and want to cheat the inspector and influence the inspection result.
Before the final random inspection in China
A Final Random Inspection in China requires the inspector counts the packed cartons numbers, based which selects the cartons at random. If the factory does not finish the required cartons(for example 80%) for some reasons. They prepare some empty cartons and put them to the most inconvenient place for the inspector to draw. Or on the contrary, they prepare some cartons with the best quality products( these are resorted by their own inspectors). And try their best to provide these cartons for the inspector to check. No matter how randomly the inspector draws and selects the cartons.
During the final random inspection in China
If we say preparing the cartons in advance before the inpection cost them something. They try to play games in this stage with lower price, but influence a lot. So the inspector must pay more attention during inspection. The most common way is, they have many workers “helping “ you for unpack or others when you are checking. But they are actually experienced inspectors of their own. And they inspect them during unpacking and take the serious/major defectives away when you donot notice it.
I have seen in a frozen shrimp factory when I check the glaze percentage by weighing the sub sample weight before and after deglazing, a “worker” was putting a few shrimps in sample of not weighing deglazed weight yet. Thus reduce the glaze percentage to make the report looks good. So when an inspector encounter someone is especially friendly talking to you during inspection, you must take special care of it.
After the inspection
In this stage what they can do is, try to change or influence your judgement. As inspection company usually requires inspectors to reconfirm every defect with the factory to reduce argument in the final random inspection in China. They try to make excuses for the defects found, or do not agree with it is a major defect etc.
When they see the inspection result is not good enough for them. They still have the last resort, to bribe the inspector. Therefore a good inspector should not only have experiences, but be reliable and incorruptible, which are more important than other aspects. Otherwise the inspection report is a sheet of waste paper.
